ActionBox is a reminder, scheduling, organization, and personal productivity application. This policy explains the information ActionBox may access or process, how it is used, when it may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to you.

1. Information you provide

• Account information: if you sign in or create an account, ActionBox may process your email address, authentication identifier, and basic account information needed for sign-in.
• Your ActionBox content: reminders, tasks, schedules, notes, reminder details, recurrence settings, history, profile preferences, aliases, and other content you choose to save.
• Support communications: information you include when you contact support.

2. Optional device permissions and data

• Notifications and alarms: used to deliver reminders and alerts at the times you choose.
• Contacts: if you grant access, ActionBox may use contact names and phone numbers to help create call-related reminders or identify people you select. ActionBox does not need access to your entire address book for basic use.
• Microphone / voice input: used only when you choose voice input. ActionBox does not intentionally store raw audio recordings as part of normal reminder storage. Speech recognition may rely on services provided by your device or operating system.

3. Local storage and cloud sync

ActionBox is designed to work locally on your device. If you choose account-based cloud sync, ActionBox may store an encrypted snapshot of supported app data in cloud services used by the app. Encryption and recovery features are designed so that synced ActionBox content is protected in transit and at rest. Some device-specific security settings may remain local to the device.

4. ActionBox AI

ActionBox uses AI in two distinct ways. For smart understanding, the current text you ask ActionBox to interpret may be sent through the ActionBox backend to Google Gemini to understand actions, dates, times, recurrence, and related reminder details. For the Pro writing assistant, the writing request and, when relevant, the previous draft may be sent through the ActionBox backend to OpenAI to generate or revise text. Provider API keys and service credentials are kept on the server and are not embedded in the Android app.

If you choose to report an AI-generated writing result as offensive or unsafe, ActionBox sends the reported generated text, the selected report category, and any optional note you enter to the ActionBox backend for moderation review. The original writing prompt is not included in that report unless you choose to repeat it in your note.

5. Service providers

ActionBox may rely on third-party service providers to operate app features, including Google/Firebase for authentication, cloud functionality, and storage of moderation reports; Cloudflare for backend delivery and hosting; Google Gemini for AI-assisted understanding; and OpenAI for the Pro writing assistant. These providers may process data as necessary to provide those services under their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Advertising

The current release of ActionBox does not display third-party advertising. If advertising is added to a future release, this policy and the Google Play Data safety information will be updated before that release is distributed.

7. How we use information

• Provide reminders, scheduling, organization, sync, backup, and account features.
• Understand user-entered reminder requests and improve the reliability of requested actions.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems, and provide support.
• Comply with legal obligations when applicable.

8. Sale of personal data

ActionBox does not sell your personal data.

9. Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android behavior. Cloud account data is retained while your account or cloud copy remains active, unless a shorter retention period applies. AI safety reports may be retained only as reasonably needed to review the reported content and improve safety controls, after which they may be deleted or anonymized. If account deletion is requested, ActionBox will delete the account data it controls, except information that must be retained temporarily for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, moderation, or dispute-resolution reasons.

10. Account and data deletion

You may request deletion from inside ActionBox or by using our external deletion page. Deleting an ActionBox account is intended to remove the account and associated cloud data controlled by ActionBox. Data stored only on your device can also be removed by deleting it in the app, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app.

11. Security

ActionBox uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and encryption features for supported synchronized data. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children

ActionBox is not specifically directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age applicable in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ActionBox features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
